GENERAL
The plant pictured above serves to dispose of diseased and infected cattle. It is operated on behalf of the state, but on a private basis.
This special low-cost plant was developed in the interest of keeping the disposal costs as low as possible. Both the electro-mechanical equipment and the infrastructure are reduced to the minimum, while legal requirements are satisfied.
The plant is offered in two sizes, with capacities of 500 kg/h or 1000 kg/h, permitting to dispose of one or two complete cattle carcasses per hour, respectively. It can be operated during 24 hours each day.
A heat recovery system has been renounced upon in the above example because no utilization possibility was available in the immediate vicinity. However, a recovery of the heat should be considered under all circumstances because substantial quantities of energy are concerned here and only a relatively minor additional investment is required for the purpose.

Charging and ash discharging can be automated to large extent. Well-estabilished solutions are also available for heat recovery purposes. Filter systems and computer feedback-controlled processes as well as monitoring systems ensure that legal requirements are complied with.
